About Me, Tara (she/her)

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in providing compassionate, holistic mental health care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and addiction/substance use disorders. I also support family members of loved ones struggling with substance use disorders/addiction.

I started Inner Peace Counseling & Healing services to share a unique set of treatment modalities with people who are struggling with the challenges of life. At this time, I am able to offer virtual sessions across Washington state, taking a personalized approach to therapy that empowers clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.

As a practice, I integrate evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Therapeutic Yoga techniques, and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT).

As the spouse of a military veteran, I bring real-life experience and an understanding of military culture, and I understand the unique challenges of having a loved one in the Armed Forces. I am a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to create a welcoming space for all individuals.

Outside of work, I have an adventurous spirit and enjoy hiking, traveling, practicing yoga, and spending time with my family and dogs.

I am are here to help you build resilience, develop coping strategies, and achieve the changes you desire.
